After attending about fifty different job interviews without landing a position, a young brunette has voiced her frustration and discouragement.
Alê Gaúcha, 21, clarified that since finishing a childcare course three years ago, she has been making a concerted effort to find employment as a nanny. However, she feels that despite her training, employers frequently focus more on her appearance than her abilities because her body and appearance often take center stage.

Recalling her repeated attempts to demonstrate her professional side during interviews, Gaúcha told NeedToKnow, “I would go in confident, present my certificates, talk about everything I had learned, but no one ever got back to me.”
“At first, I thought it was due to a lack of experience, but after so many attempts, I began to believe the reason was something else,” the Brazilian native continued, explaining that she started to wonder why employers consistently rejected her.

She asserts that her difficulties might be even more severe in the nannying industry. According to reports, many women who are looking to hire childcare are hesitant to hire someone they think is too attractive because they are afraid it could lead to unintended issues at home.
“I wanted to show my professional side, but it felt like no one could see it,” the would-be nanny acknowledged, lamenting her unsuccessful attempts to demonstrate her skills.

Gaúcha believes she is experiencing the opposite of “pretty privilege,” feeling that her appearance makes employers wary rather than welcoming. Instead of enjoying the advantages that come with good looks, she faces skepticism.
Nevertheless, Gaúcha has not allowed her circumstances to deter her from moving forward. Rather than give up, she focused on social media and started posting pictures and videos there.

Woman was shocked to discover how quickly her fan base grew and soon started making money as a content creator.
She acknowledges that this work has provided her with independence and a sense of accomplishment, even though it wasn’t the path she had originally planned.

She clarified, “Even if I don’t practice [nannying] today, the nanny I once was is still with me.” “Because I prepared and committed to that experience, I still feel a connection to it.”
“I found freedom on one side and stability on the other.”
