A 40-year-old Kenyan man has claimed that he is the firstborn son of the Tesla founder, that he was born many years before Musk’s other 14 children were born.
The man, whose name is Nyakundi Kibiru, claims that he was born as a result of a brief affair between his mother and a “20-year-old Musk.”
He claims that in the “early 1990s,” years before Musk rose to prominence in the tech industry. His mother was working at a hotel in the Masai Mara when she first met the then-young and unfamous Musk.

According to the Daily Star, Kibiru, who calls himself a “mental health activist,” has openly called for a DNA test to validate his assertions.
Many social media users said the alleged father and son looked so similar that they didn’t need any tests at all when he posted a photo of himself online.
It’s difficult to overlook the similarities between their pictures when comparing them side by side, from the sharp jawline to the strikingly similar facial expressions.
Even though Kibiru looks a lot like Musk, many people on the internet are still skeptical about whether his story is true.
Someone commented: “Interesting! However, appearances can be deceiving.
One person remarked, “He looks just like him.” Another person merely said, “Spitting image.”
People started speculating that the photo may have been created using artificial intelligence, and some others suggested that Kibiru could be Musk’s brother, not his son.
“Have you thought that he might be a brother and not the father?” inquired another social media user. On this planet, everyone has a doppelgänger. Simply put, you haven’t yet met yours.
However, a quick calculation and a closer look at the claims reveal a different picture.

Musk would have been just 14 years old and still enrolled in high school when his alleged son was born, if Kibiru’s timeline is correct.
The legal consent age in Kenya is eighteen. If his account were accurate, Kibiru’s mother would have been confessing to breaking the law.
The suspicions were heightened when astute internet users noticed a number of odd details in Kibiru’s picture that led them to doubt its veracity.
Many people think the image was digitally altered using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, despite the striking resemblance to Musk.
One person remarked, “This is AI, look at the top button on the guy’s shirt.” “The button hole is not present.”
“And the chances he would pose like this – with the same beard, in front of the most generic corporate blurred background like a model?”
Another said: “AI. As much as I’d like to think so.”
“Nope, it must be AI,” a third person wrote. The hairline and ears are too alike.
Rumors intensified as people debated Kibiru’s alleged relationship with Musk.
Some speculated that this could be linked to the ‘Kenyan son’ prank, possibly involving someone who used Grok to generate the lookalike image.
In any event, it’s safe to assume that Musk hasn’t added any children to his official count, at least not yet.
