An emotional finding based on the Google maps has closed the two-year-old case of Paulette Landrieux who went missing from her home.
The case referred to Landrieux, an 83 years old Alzheimer’s patient from Andenne (Belgium), who went missing in November 2020. Her husband and caretaker, Marcel Taret, [told us] of the tragic situation where [she] went missing. On the day Paulette had vanished, Marcel had spent a fleeting moment to bring clothes down from a clothes line. When he returned, she was gone. He had left her in front of the television with lunch, but this turned out to be the last time he saw her alive. Despite a prompt response from authorities, including a search-and-rescue helicopter, Paulette could not be located.
Two years later, a neighbor searching Google Maps in a casual way stumbled upon the following astonishing fact. In a street view photograph obtained outside of Paulette and Marcel’s house, Paulette seemed to be walking off as Marcel was seen in the background drying laundry. Authorities using the image to reconstruct the track of Paulette, on the basis of the information disclosed by the neighbor, provided the investigators.
According to MrBallen: On the other side of the street there was a steep slope, going down towards a dense bramble bush,”Paulette ‘s body was discovered in that bush. “When that huge search for her was going on, very likely she was just trapped down there, the podcaster explained.
She didn’t know what was happening, couldn’t really scream up for the communicative interaction, and so she stayed there, down there, and perished. “Far as the first story goes, instant anxiety. 32 years old, almost already been married 10 years, if my wife just disappeared, I won’t last long. She does more for me than she will ever know every single day.
Another remarked on the unusual circumstances: “The one thing that confuses me is how for nearly TWO YEARS nobody at the neighboring house realized there was a dead body in their yard. That’s insane.”
